Questions & Answers
Does the TSW101 conform to the 802.3af standard? What's the power output (\"w\") of its PoE+?
Yes, it does. The PoE+ standards of TSW101 are 802.3af and 802.3at. The total PoE+ power budget (at PSE) is 60W, with a maximum power supply of 30W per port.
Can the TSW101’s PoE+ provide 48V power to devices?
Yes, it can. While the TSW101 PoE+ function has a 9-30 VDC input voltage range, its output reaches 42-57V.
Since IEEE 802.3at requires a device to output power from 42 to 57V, does it mean that TSW101 is not IEEE 802.3at compliant?
The TSW101 is compliant with IEEE 802.3at and has a 42-57V output for PoE+.
Is it correct that the TSW101 has 5 Ethernet ports, but only 4 support PoE+?
Yes. The TSW101’s PoE+ function works on 4 out of its 5 ports.
Even if the TSW101 becomes E-Mark compliant, do you plan on releasing a model with M12 connectors?
No, we're not planning on doing that in the near future.
Do you plan on creating managed switches with more ports or more SFP ports?
We're currently working on a 24-port rack-mount switch.
