RUTX11 CERTIFIED FOR PASSENGER TRAINS IN EUROPE

We’re excited to announce that the RUTX11 industrial cellular router by Teltonika Networks has recently received the European Standard EN 45545-2 certification. This standard is the technical specification on fire protection on railway vehicles in Europe and dictates the safety regulations devices used for passenger trains in Europe must meet.

Establishing connectivity in passenger trains is very important, perhaps now more than ever. In a bid to cut carbon emissions, France has recently banned domestic short-haul flights where train alternatives exist. Trains are more efficient when it comes to CO2 emissions, and we believe similar legislations in other European countries are a matter of when, not if.
