Pytania i odpowiedzi //

Q: Where are these devices made?

A: Our devices are manufactured in our manufacturing facility in Lithuania. Since our cellular routers are made in the European Union, they are also certified for the North American market.

Q: What is included in the boxes of either router?

A: The RUT240 box contains the following: A RUT240 router, 9 W PSU, 2 x LTE antennas (swivel, SMA male), 1 x Wi-Fi antenna (swivel, RP-SMA male), Ethernet cable (1.5 m), SIM Adapter kit, QSG (Quick Start Guide), RMS Flyer, packaging box.

Similarly, the RUT360 box contains the following: A RUT360 router, 12 W PSU, 2 x LTE antennas (swivel, SMA male), 2 x Wi-Fi antennas (swivel, RP-SMA male), Ethernet cable (1.5 m), SIM Adapter kit, QSG (Quick Start Guide), RMS Flyer.

Q: When should I choose RUT360 over RUT240?

A: First of all, you should evaluate what speed and LTE category you need for your solution. RUT360 supports CAT6, which offers a download speed of up to 300Mbps, while RUT240 has CAT4, which offers up to 150Mbps. Thus, RUT360 will allow better speed over a mobile connection. Apart from that, RUT360 has 2 Wi-Fi antennas for increasing signal strength.

Also, RUT360 offers a clock rate of 650MHz, compared to RUT240’s 400MHz. This essentially means RUT360 has better processing speed and power than RUT240. However, RUT360 does not support 2G or Passive PoE, is overall larger, and consumes approximately double the power RUT240 does.

Q: How many channels and bands does RUT240 support?

A: RUT240 supports 8 bands (2, 4, 5, 12 ,13 ,14 ,66, and 71).

Q: Do RUT240 and RUT360 support the RS485 serial interface?

A: They do not. Other devices of ours do support it, such as RUT955 or RUTX11 via USB.

Q: Do RUT240 and RUT360 have a built-in battery? What is the backup possibility?

A: They do not, but our BAT120 device, which provides 4-6 hours of backup in case of a power failure and is compatible with all of our devices, will soon be certified for the North American market.

Q: What is the device limit on RMS? Could you add, say, 150,000 devices?

A: RMS has no device limit. You can indeed add 150,000 devices, and keep going.

Q: What is the licensing model of RMS? Is it a one-time license or a device-based cost?

A: RMS uses a credit system for service licensing. For more information about it can be found on our Wiki page. A list of RMS credit distributors can be found here.
