A lot of people have and for most - this summer is going to be a little different than usual. Due to COVID-related restrictions and uncertainty related to flights being canceled, travelers are opting for local trips and the popularity of campervans is on the rise. However, going ‘into the wild’ does not mean you need to stay offline. With the right technology in place, you may enjoy both: the benefits of natural surroundings and uninterrupted connectivity needed either for leisure or remote work purposes. Campervan connectivity comes with its own set of challenges. It requires a rugged device that is vibration-proof and able to withstand low and high temperatures. It also needs to offer reliable connectivity within changing locations, which might be a tough job - especially close to the borders. Security is another great concern, especially when multiple devices are using the same WLAN. And of course, the price is something to consider because data roaming charges can significantly raise your holiday expenses. Our partner Antretter & Huber has chosen Teltonika Networks RUT955 for their successful plug-n-play solution to provide reliable and secure connectivity for the whole campervan ecosystem. Click on the below link if you wish to learn how the RUT955 helps to save on data charges, ensures uninterrupted connection even in remote locations or close to country borders, and allows secure internet sharing with others. We are glad to know that Teltonika Networks products are getting noticed among more and more campervan enthusiasts across the globe. We have selected a few videos we found very useful and thorough, where various Teltonika Networks routers (RUTX11, RUT955, RUT240, RUT950) are being used for campervan connectivity in the US, Australia, UK, and Germany. If you watch these videos, you’ll notice that there are some common benefits of choosing an industrial cellular router for campervan connectivity. 1. SIM switch and failover allow for a router to automatically choose an operator offering a stronger reception at the time or failover from one connection type to another if the signal has dropped or speed is poor. 2. Multiple Access Points (UK) allow connecting devices to relevant access points and prioritize traffic. For example, if the reception is limited, the work-related access point will get more bandwidth than the one used for kids’ entertainment. 3. Hotspot enables sharing the internet with certain restrictions like data and time limits, etc. 4. Easy installation and setup. Teltonika Networks devices come with DIN rail and flat surface mounting options, so they can be easily placed wherever needed. The routers can be used without any additional applications to be downloaded to the devices. 5. The broad power voltage range makes Teltonika Networks industrial routers compatible with any type of camper battery. The energy-efficient solution takes less energy than a LED lamp. 6. High speed is ensured by the possibility to choose from two network operators and in some cases – load balancing feature. To reach even better results – multiple types of additional antennas can be easily added to Teltonika Networks routers. 7. Industrial Teltonika Networks routers are capable of supporting 50-150 WIFI clients, which is more than enough for all the devices during a trip. • Water Ski Live Streaming With Bondix Intelligence

The RUTX12 dual Cat 6 cellular router enables the streaming of real-time footage. Click here to learn how. Water Ski Live Streaming With Bondix Intelligence HIGHLIGHTS ✔ LTP Streaming is a streaming service provider responsible for ensuring smooth and uninterrupted, multi-camera live streams for all types of events and industries. ✔ Bondix Intelligence provides network bonding services by establishing extremely-high bandwidths that are especially useful when you need network connectivity in rural areas. ✔ LTP Streaming chose our RUTX12 and Bondix Intelligence services to establish a successful live stream of “The Ultimate DUEL Waterski Battle” in a rural countryside area with subpar Internet capabilities. THE CHALLENGE – GOT CONNECTIVITY? “If you could ski on snow, why not water?” – this idea of Ralph Samuelson sparked the rise of waterskiing. What started as a simple leisure activity is now also a competitive sport in places like Cotswolds, United Kingdom. Events like “The Ultimate DUEL Waterski Battle” competition have turned waterskiing into a knockout competition where skiers compete side-by-side for the longest distance. This particular competition, funnily enough, was also inspired by a snow-related sport: a slalom race – but with a more interesting watching experience. And while this head-to-head competition is much more appealing to watch, waterskiing isn’t a sport you can watch up close and see all the essential details necessary for both viewers and the jury to evaluate. The solution to that would be to livestream the event with cameras placed next to the skiers’ tracks, which seems like a simple plan until you get into the nitty-gritty of it. Since the event occurs in a rural area, and waterskiing itself isn’t particularly stationary, the streaming specialists at LTP Streaming needed a well-thought-out solution. It had to include highly-robust and reliable pop-up network connectivity supplied to multiple cameras simultaneously to enable both streaming and feeding big amounts of data for on-screen graphics. TOPOLOGY THE SOLUTION – MAKE WAY FOR LIVE-STREAMING This challenge was no piece of cake, but LTP Streaming figured out the ideal recipe, with the main ingredient for uninterrupted network connectivity being our RUTX12 cellular router. This device has all the right features to support seamless data transmission, but after all, you can’t make a cake out of just one ingredient. Internet speeds had to be exceptionally high and robust for the live stream to succeed. That’s why our partner, Bondix Intelligence, also became a significant component of the solution. The RUTX12 was connected to Starlink via a wide area network (WAN) and with the help of dual SIM cards, it equipped the solution with two different Internet sources bonded by Bondix Intelligence. All three network sources were bonded together in the Bondix S. A. NE. tunnel to create robust connectivity and high throughput for transmitting large amounts of data. Bonding is extremely useful when supplying network connectivity in rural areas. Once uninterrupted connectivity was ensured, the live stream took off. Real-time footage from the cameras traveled to the video editing station, where decisions were continuously made on which footage was to be displayed at which time. After that, video files traveled through a video encoding device to multiple online streaming platforms, in this case – Vimeo, making the viewing experience much less complicated and much more exciting. Live streaming is a difficult task, so when done in a rural area, there’s no better choice than to put your trust in our RUTX12 and Bondix Intelligence’s bonding services. LIKE THIS STORY? • Cellular Router for Network Edge Remote Management

Edge computing and edge network solutions require a reliable cellular router to perform. Click here for more details. Cellular Router for Network Edge Remote Management Highlights ✔ Reskube is a pioneering British provider of edge computing solutions, delivering resilient infrastructure that uniquely integrates always-on power and internet in a single device. ✔ For its edge network solution, the Reskube Edge E110, it needed a reliable cellular router capable of facilitating remote monitoring, access, and management capabilities while ensuring network redundancy. ✔ The chosen device is the Teltonika RUT951 4G LTE router. Together with our TSW202 managed PoE switch, this 4G router enables the Reskube Edge with maximum network reliability. The Challenge – Uncompromising Edge Resilience The future of IoT lies in edge computing. This distributed computing model brings processing and data storage closer to the data’s origin point – the network's edge outside the cloud. The result is enhanced performance, speed, and real-time data analysis. In 2023, the market size of edge computing was valued at $15.96 billion, and this number is projected to grow from $21.41 billion in 2024 to $216.76 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of 33.6%. To understand the real-life context for these large numbers, let’s imagine a typical remote gas station experiencing a power outage. Its personnel aren’t tech-savvy, so an outside engineer must come to the station to fix the issue. The further away the gas station is from the engineer, the longer this would take. If a VOIP solution is used in the station, it would go offline during the power outage – leaving the station uncontactable. These offline ingredients concoct a foul recipe for downtime and loss of business. While there are methods to mitigate this downtime, the best approach is to prevent it altogether. Preventing such outcomes is our partner, Reskube. Its Reskube Edge E110 is a device that delivers the value of edge computing and converges resilient power and connectivity in a simple-to-deploy and remotely manageable device. However, in order to create this resilient connectivity, the Reskube Edge must contain inside it an equally resilient cellular router. Topology The Solution – Cellular Router for the Edge The device chosen for the role of the Reskube Edge’s heart of connectivity is the Teltonika RUT951 industrial cellular router. Connected to the RUT951 via RJ45 is the Teltonika TSW202 managed PoE switch. The managed switch is configured to have SD-WAN firewall capabilities and a clustered virtual environment. VOIP phones, IP cameras, gas leak sensors, and other PoE-in end devices can be powered by the managed switch. Now, let’s imagine the same gas station power outage and see how things unfold. Lights out. Immediately, the Reskube Edge initiates an automatic failover to its internal battery. All devices connected to it, including the cellular router, the TSW202 managed PoE switch, and all end devices remain powered on. Meanwhile, on the connectivity side of things, the RUT951 4G LTE router automatically switches from its primary WAN connection to a secondary SIM connection. In the worst-case scenario, it can also switch to a tertiary SIM connection to a different ISP via auto-failover. The result is a seamless, uninterrupted connection during the power outage. Thanks to the cellular router, the entire network solution can be remotely accessed and managed from a control centre at any point. This is done via the Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS) , easily rebranded and customised to fit Reskube’s visual identity. The connection to RMS is bolstered with a suite of supported protocols, such as TLS-protected MQTT for RMS Management, and SSH, Telnet, RDP, HTTP, HTTPS, and SFTP for RMS Connect. RMS is vital for edge computing deployments, as it centralises solution management and allows for real-time monitoring and alerts, efficient troubleshooting and maintenance, and enhanced scalability. But it all comes down to the enabler of these remote capabilities: the RUT951. Aluminium housing and operating temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C make this highly customisable industrial cellular router tailor-made for such industrial applications. So, don’t leave your business exposed to the whims of chance and edge cases – choose the RUT951 4G router and adopt the resilience of edge networks. LIKE THIS STORY? Share it with friends! • Teltonika Networks Enabling Autonomous Helium Miners In Remote Locations

Founded in 2013, Helium had a mission of making it easier to build a network of connected devices. Helium is a decentralized wireless network enabling devices to wirelessly connect to the Internet and geolocate themselves without the need for power-hungry satellite location hardware or expensive cellular plans throughout the world. Enabling Autonomous Helium Miners In Remote Locations SUMMARY Founded in 2013, Helium had a mission of making it easier to build a network of connected devices. Helium is a decentralized wireless network enabling devices to wirelessly connect to the Internet and geolocate themselves without the need for power-hungry satellite location hardware or expensive cellular plans throughout the world. The Helium network consists of a wide-area wireless networking system, a blockchain, and a protocol token. Such a network of independent providers is not reliant on monopolist coordinators to send and receive data or geolocate themselves. Besides, miners are incentivized by receiving crypto tokens to expand network coverage and validate the Helium network’s integrity. We were excited to learn about such a revolutionary network alternative that provides more options to the users. The values of Helium are coherent with the long-standing philosophy behind Teltonika Networks products and systems. From the very beginning, we built our RutOS software on OpenWRT, believing that a system should be open-source to offer the most flexibility to each client, allowing them to adapt it to their needs. As usual, just like we store all of our Packet Manager components and tutorials open to the public, we are also happy to release the configurations to make our devices compatible with the Helium network requirements. CHALLENGE Helium miners require internet connectivity to communicate with Helium servers for Proof-of-Coverage (PoC) and connect the low-cost LoRaWAN access points to transfer data. Only validated hotspots are eligible for a reward, so naturally, the internet connectivity needs to be reliable for successful participation in the (PoC) Challenge. It is usually impossible to have a wired connection or even a power supply in remote or rural areas. Still, to expand the Helium network coverage, Hotspots need to be implemented into these areas too, and Teltonika Networks can offer a solution precisely for such a scenario. SOLUTION Helium Hotspots require an autonomous solution that does not involve frequent traveling to the site for maintenance. Teltonika Networks RUT241 LTE Cat4 cellular router is a perfect fit in remote areas not just due to its easy wire-free setup but low power consumption too. At maximum capacity, it does not exceed 6,5W, so its’ power demands combined with 5W needed by Helium Hotspot can be satisfied by a solar panel and a 12V 55Ah battery. From the software perspective, Teltonika Networks products offer a user-friendly WebUI packed with a multitude of tools for efficient management of mobile communication, including an easily configured Firewall and a variety of VPN protocols for enhanced safety. Besides, users can adjust RUT241 to work with public or shared IP addresses. Let’s add our RMS to the mix, and you’ll have an entirely remotely managed solution that is easy to keep up to date with the latest firmware upgrades straight from your home or office and automatic alerts to prevent any downtime. TOPOLOGY BENEFITS Due to cellular connectivity and multiple interfaces, RUT241 offers a plug-n-play solution that is quick and easy to deploy by anyone, anywhere. Low-power consumption allows using a solar panel and a battery for electricity in areas without access to a conventional power source. User-friendly WebUI offers a multitude of useful tools for efficient connection management and the highest level of safety. RMS enables entirely remote management of the solution. WHY TELTONIKA NETWORKS? SOLUTION Mounted in the truck of the Drone Team, the Teltonika Networks RUT240 cellular router provides a stable, reliable, and always-on internet connectivity via 3G or 4G network for the devices in and around the vehicle. Three different drones are connected via WIFI for live mapping, mission planning, and live streaming. At the same time, five tablet devices are connected for steering the drones and transferring pictures and videos in HD. Additionally, two laptops are connected via WIFI for office work, mission organization, and flight planning. There is also a printer inside the truck which is using wired connectivity to provide fast print-outs for other response teams like firefighters or medical personnel. If the 3G or 4G signal not strong enough in remote areas, a magnet outdoor antenna may be set on the top of the truck for better service. WHY TELTONIKA NETWORKS? As commented by a representative of THW: Teltonika Networks is a well-known networking company building stable, reliable networking connections, and is also trusted in a few companies of our volunteers where they work full time. THW of Pfaffenhofen has been using another Teltonika Networks device for years. RUT750 was providing connectivity in poorly covered areas for multiple mission sites. The RUT240 fits perfectly into the Drone SAR Truck and provides perfect results.' • CUSTOMER STORY: IoT PRESERVING ANCIENT UNDERWATER TREASURES

The underwater world hides mind-blowing archaeological treasures. However, undersea sites were not open to the public due to security risks. Not only may the valuables be easily damaged but also stolen. But how good is history if it is not accessible to people? More News 1/28/2026 Meet Altos: The Wi-Fi 7 Router Invited to Your Living Room 1/21/2026 Managed vs unmanaged switches: choose the right fit 1/20/2026 Password Security Standards – Best Practices to Protect your Devices CUSTOMER STORY: IoT PRESERVING ANCIENT UNDERWATER TREASURES 1 July 2021 Less than a year ago, we launched the Connected with Teltonika Networks platform to gather success stories and visual materials from our clients. It enabled quick and easy sharing, which was also encouraged by offering a reward of RMS credits . As we started sharing them, we noticed that our audience really liked this type of content. Luckily, it began a continuous cycle: the more solutions we shared on our social media outlets, website, and newsletters, the more creative and original use cases we received. So, today we have another inspiring visual story to share with you, and we would like to start with a word of thanks. SPECIAL THANKS This time we are sending greetings to Greece, where the NOUS project was born in combined efforts of George Papalambrou, Vasilis Mentogiannis, and Kostas Katsioulis. Thanks so much for sharing this solution serving a beautiful mission of preserving ancient shipwrecks by bringing the power of AI to an undersea world. It is especially heartwarming to see how the technology of today helps to retain the history of the past and share it with future generations. So, let's delve into more details on how the IoT can benefit in this area and offer more similar application scenarios, e.g., diving parks, protected marine areas, underwater archeological sites, biodiversity protection, and more. THE PROBLEM Greece is known for its' rich ancient history and valuable historical remains. The underwater world hides mind-blowing archaeological treasures. However, undersea sites were not open to the public due to security risks. Not only may the valuables be easily damaged but also stolen. But how good is history if it is not accessible to people? Thankfully, the creators of NOUS managed to find a solution to this problem by implementing an AI-powered system for monitoring and surveillance of a shipwreck. For the first time in the world, an underwater museum opened up to the visitors. THE SOLUTION We prepared a detailed description of this solution with a topology accessible under our use case section or by clicking the below link. You may also check out the video, where one of the creators of the NOUS system describes its composition and basis of operation. THE IMPACT Following the success of the NOUS project, the underwater museum opened in October 2020. It offers a unique experience for the visitors to witness a shipwreck and its impressive cargo of 4000 wine amphorae from 5th century B.C., which was preserved in superb condition underwater. The site is so spectacular that it was named Acropolis of sea wrecks, or in some sources - the underwater Pantheon. Besides many possible application possibilities mentioned above, this precedent gave a start to a new form of tourism. Since the beginning of NOUS, four additional shipwreck sites are in the plans to becoming undersea museums in the nearest future. This role model will open doors to various similar initiatives opening up the little-known underwater sites with a lot to show and history to tell. • IoT POWERED SUCCESS OF AUTONOMOUS RACING TEAM IN AUGSBURG

Reliable connection for a driverless race car is a must. Besides, it requires high bandwidth to transmit the various sensor data live to the team in the base station. More News 1/28/2026 Meet Altos: The Wi-Fi 7 Router Invited to Your Living Room 1/21/2026 Managed vs unmanaged switches: choose the right fit 1/20/2026 Password Security Standards – Best Practices to Protect your Devices IoT POWERED SUCCESS OF AUTONOMOUS RACING TEAM IN AUGSBURG 6 October 2021 Earlier this year, a student approached us on behalf of the Formula Student Team at Augsburg University and introduced us to their innovative project. They were working on converting one of their race cars into an autonomous vehicle. Although we had some previous experience providing connectivity in race cars, driverless vehicles were something we had never encountered before. This initiative immediately caught our attention, and we were happy to become a part of it by sponsoring their project with our connectivity products. THE PROBLEM Reliable connection for a driverless race car is a must. Besides, it requires high bandwidth to transmit the various sensor data live to the team in the base station. Therefore, there were a specific set of requirements for the router, including WLAN802.11ac and Gigabit Ethernet. A second router, used for connectivity in the base station, also needed WLAN 802.11ac and 4G LTE module for easy access to the internet regardless of the location of the race. THE SOLUTION Knowing the requirements of the team and the scope of their project, while having in mind all the different sensors and units that need to connect to the network, we found that the RUTX11 cellular router would be the best fit in this solution. The rugged and powerful LTE Cat 6 device features load balancing functionality for optimized traffic flow and more efficient bandwidth use. Besides, it offers Wave-2 802.11ac Dual-Band Wi-Fi and four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a seamless data transfer experience. Should you like to learn all the whats, hows, and whys, we have prepared a visual topology and detailed use case accessible below. THE RESULT The feedback we received from the Starkstrom Augsburg team was beyond satisfying. In their words, the hardware was running excellently. The permanently stable connection helped them evaluate and optimize the driving behavior live through the testing phase and prepare for the technical scrutineering very well. As it appeared later, all efforts paid off! The driverless vehicle was very successful in multiple international races, including top-places in events hosted in Germany and Hungary. Starkstrom Augsburg car was the fastest Driverless vehicle at both races and took first place in three dynamic disciplines: Acceleration, Autocross, and Track drive. In the overall standings, they came in a very close second place both times. Such great results are mind-blowing and we cannot wait to see what is coming next for this talented and motivated team of true enthusiasts! WHAT’S NEXT? Starkstrom Augsburg team is already planning on their next state-of-the-art vehicle, where they would like to use Teltonika Networks connectivity devices. But more on this exciting future cooperation to follow! One of the core values of Teltonika is to help, share kindness with others and contribute to making people's lives better and easier. We are always ready to discuss more projects and collaboration opportunities or to see your solutions in action! So feel free to use our online platform and get in touch!
