We have been doing some pretty exciting things lately - but not just on our own! This time we partnered with Hikvision on two inspiring and truly relevant projects for the current days. 2020 has been unpredictable to a lot of people and businesses, and we had to get used to a new way of living and follow a set of new rules to keep each other safe and sound. We are happy to present to you two use cases, where implementing Hikvision products along with Teltonika Networks connectivity devices can solve two different problems.
In the first use case, we presented a broadcasting solution powered by Hikvision IP security cameras and our connectivity devices. Two of Teltonika IoT Group competitive basketball had a friendly match that was broadcasted live to Youtube so that their loyal fans could watch the game. All turned out great – the match was a spectacle, and the streaming quality was above expectations. It took three Hikvision IP security cameras, our RUTX10 and RUTX11 routers for reliable cellular connectivity, and one person with a laptop to manage this broadcast.
In the other case, we implemented a Hikvision Pro Face Access Terminal to achieve a zero-touch access control solution that is capable of granting or denying entry based on face recognition, mask wearability, and body temperature requirements. Moreover, it may be integrated with existing time management systems to gather data on employees’ attendance and time spent in the workplace. In this solution, our tiny TRB140 gateway not only provides reliable cellular connectivity and allows for mobility to quickly adjust to the dynamic business needs but also connects to Remote Management System for convenient management of multiple devices from anywhere in the world.
Marius Navickas, the Head of Marketing at Teltonika Networks, commented: “Video surveillance technology has evolved. Today it is much more than just CCTV cameras ensuring security. Our infrastructure would be unimaginable without smart parking and people counting, contact tracking during a pandemic, various access control solutions. The ever-expanding IoT market is also improving. Cellular communication is becoming an integral part of IoT solutions for high reliability, availability, and safety. I want to rejoice that Teltonika Networks foster partnerships with a wide range of equipment manufacturers, and we can present more and more varied solutions to our customers. Today, I would like to thank Hikvision Lithuania and their representatives for their cooperation in developing joint projects where we can complement each other for the best results.”
Lukas Petrašiūnas, the Product Manager of Hikvision Lithuania, added: “We live in an era of smart devices, where having reliable connectivity is a must. The Internet can link devices, buildings, and even cities, so the distance becomes less and less of an issue. Teltonika Networks products open doors for remote management from any place in the world, enabling seamless work from home, supervising various facilities from the comfort of your office, or tracing events as they happen. It allows to proactively react to various issues and prevent bigger problems in the long run.”
