Have you ever wondered how your daily financial processes would change if banks operated without the Internet? In fact, such operations would be impossible. As the financial sector evolves rapidly, technologies must be up to date. Banking services can’t be provided without a safe and reliable connection to various systems and databases. That’s where Teltonika Networks enters the picture.
On June 10, Teltonika Networks, invited by a leading global provider of digital transformation and cybersecurity solutions, Softline Armenia, held a conference in Yerevan for the banking sector. More than twenty IT and security professionals from the banking, insurance and retail industries participated there. They had a perfect opportunity to learn about the latest Internet of Things technologies and their use cases. Teltonika Networks representatives Anastasiya Tolstaya and Aleksandr Hololov spoke about the endless possibilities that Teltonika Networks 4G LTE solutions offer to partners in different sectors, from banking to retail.
In the introductory part of the presentation, participants were acquainted with Teltonika Networks as well as with the whole Teltonika company group, its growth and expansion, all the business niches, and the modern production facility, which manufactures 10 million devices every year. During the presentation, it was revealed that the company plans on opening two new offices in Kyiv and Nur-Sultan. At the moment, Teltonika already has 28 offices in 19 countries worldwide.
In the next part of the presentation, technical support engineer Aleksandr introduced the variety of Teltonika Networks devices, such as modems, gateways, routers, switches, IoT platforms, their high-tech features, and industries where they are frequently used. These devices provide different reliable connectivity options, such as 4G cellular network, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi, which ensures a stable connection if one option is unavailable. The audience also had a chance to see the devices’ software RUTOS, its front end and back end.
One of the key features of Teltonika Networks solutions is increased protection from spam and various cyberattacks. Aleksandr demonstrated how this protection works against port scan, DDOS, dictionary, brute force, phishing, social engineering, malware, and many other attacks. Security, reliability, and ease of use are the key benefits that partners get when choosing Teltonika Networks solutions.
In the most exciting part of the presentation, the speakers presented several interesting use cases and shared the expertise gathered from various regions where Teltonika Networks devices help businesses and people. Every use case is a complex project – an issue solved in cooperation with a partner to make the end client’s life easier. Our partners in the financial sector usually confront such issues as system security, reliable and uninterrupted connectivity, simple configuration, and remote access. Therefore, Teltonika Networks devices are always designed and developed according to partners’ needs and requirements.
For example, our device RUTX09, a next-generation LTE-A CAT6 cellular IoT router, is perfect for empowering ATM connectivity everywhere, even in remote areas. According to the World Bank, the number of active ATMs worldwide has grown by more than 126% in the last five years. ATM connectivity must be secure, affordable and reliable, but not all locations have stable wired Internet access options such as DSL or fibre while VSAT communication is costly. Therefore, the majority of ATMs are equipped with industrial cellular routers with 4G LTE connectivity.
RUTX09, developed by Teltonika Networks, is a powerful industrial router with Dual-SIM, Carrier Aggregation and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. Its auto-failover feature allows to immediately switch between wired WAN and cellular connections as well as from one operator to another in case the signal is lost. In order to ensure ATM security, this router has seven different VPN services, Firewall, TR-069, SNMP. Moreover, with Teltonika Networks Remote Management System (RMS), you have complete control and remote connection from anywhere in the world.
The use case described above was not the only one presented by Anastasiya and Aleksandr. Other applications included secure connectivity in bank branches, Point of Sale terminals, and self-service parcel terminals, 4G communication systems for retail, face recognition access terminals with fever and mask detection, remote retail refrigerator monitoring, out-of-band management for Cisco ISR, and remote office connectivity. And for each and every situation, there was an excellent networking solution fully developed by Teltonika Networks. Teltonika Networks offers many more use cases for different applications, so feel free to check them out here:
Besides the conference in Yerevan, on June 15-18, Teltonika also attended the 33rd International Exhibition for Information and Communication Technology SVIAZ 2021 and the 14th International Navigation Forum NAVITECH 2021 in Moscow. There, Teltonika Networks, Teltonika Telematics and Teltonika Mobility representatives demonstrated the latest innovations in the fields. For more information, check our web news on this event.
