Questions and Answers //
During the webinar, You've asked a lot of questions, and some of them were answered at the end of the livestream. And here we would like to share with you all your questions and answers:
Q: This switch is having 4+1 ports, are all LAN ports or is there also an WAN port with additional features?
A: All TSW110 switch ports are equal and there is no dedicated WAN port
Q: So the main features are temperature range and branding? :D
A: Environmental conditions, size, wide input voltage range, branding
Q: this switch was managed/unmanaged
A: TSW110 is unmanaged switch
Q: is it 48V poe ?
A: TSW110 can be power via LAN1 with passive PoE in 9 – 30 VDC range. 802.3af/at/bt is not supported
Q: any SNMP or similar remote status monitor
A: TSW110 is unmanaged switch, so it do not have any remote monitoring options
Q: why is that 1 port is separated by design? is there anything special on that port?
A: LAN1 port can be used to power TSW110 with passive PoE
Q: We require 500 Nos. 2 FO+2 CU port switch did you have all are manage giga port
A: We do not have a product like this
Q: We are looking for a switch to use on a 12V supply to power cctv camera which needs 48V poe
A: We do not have a product like this
Q: Would you like to share the main differences between TSW100 and TSW110?
A: The main difference is that TSW100 is with PoE+ capabilities and TSW110 is not. Everything else is the same, that they are both are unmanaged switches.
Q: what is the model of the other product?
A: I guess you are reffering to the PoE switch we mentioned: TSW110 - unmanaged 5-port TSW100 - unmanaged 5-port PoE(+)
Q: is this switch managed by RMS
A: TSW110 is unmanaged switch and it can't be manged via RMS
Q: Why don't you use a Molex Power connector instead of the standard connectro you use also for routers? In Industrial switches word molex is the most used..
A: Hi Matteo, in fact for our future products we are reviewing our power connector design, however you must appreciate that these changes take time and we want to offer the best mix between product price/connector reliability and offer compatible and reliable power supply units. In short - we are working on it and you should see results in the upcoming devices this year.
Q: Is there any reason why the RUT 360 isn't 5G ready?
A: Of course :-) It's price and demand. Everybody wants 5G but not at the price that is currently limited by high component cost. Once it becomes more popular - the prices will reduce and it will make full commercial sense.
Q: When we can expect for the same device as RUT360, but with Gb ports?
A: For this reason we have RUTX11 device
Q: Does RUT360 replace RUT240?
A: Not at all, it just adds additional options for our partners choosing the most suitable device for their solutions. We believe RUT240 will keep it's lead as the bestselling router for the forseeable future.
Q: according to my information, there is currently no 5g router from teltonika. are you planning such a device in the foreseeable future?
A: Yes, we are planning 5G router. When we will have information about it we will let everybody know.
Q: Is there a power connector adaptor to wire directly to a wiring loom in a product, i.e. 2x single core wires for + and -.
A: Yes, Teltonika Networks provides cable with open ends Power Cable 4way
Q: I represent a company and we have already bought more than 200 RUT240 routers. RUT240 has input/output functionality but the router package have a power cable with 2 cables and so the I/O pins cannot be used. Also the power adaptor is useless to an industrial machine, as we get power directly from our own DC power supply. We are forced to buy a separate 4 cables power cable inorder to use the I/O pins and throw away the standard power cable. Is there an option to get the router with the 4 cables power built-in?
A: Dear Ioannis, this is quite well known issue, due to it we have worked on a custom accessory that will offer reliabble 4-pin connector design on one end and additional I/O terminal on another, so you can utilize I/O without additional tinkering. It should be available next week, so please take a look at our accessory page in upcoming days - Accesories Page
Q: Can the LAN port be changed to WAN port as in the rutx11?
A: Yes it can be changed as all our routers have this feature. Please check our wiki or contact your sales manager or contact us.
Q: Can we intstal the dinrail mondting plate into the side of the device?
A: Yes you can do it with almost all our devices!
Q: What is the power consumption of this RUT360?
A: Check this link: RUT360 Power Consumption
Q: does it have two sim slots
A: No, for 2 SIM Cat6 option you should look at RUTX11
Q: is CAT6 the only difference between the RUT240?
A: RUT360 uses new CPU, has 128 MB of RAM, 2X2 MIMO WiFi, and full aluminium casing
Q: Can we expect a 5Ghz (dual band) Wifi in the near future on this device ?
A: Our RUTX11 which is currently available offers combination of LTE Cat 6 and AC WiFi (2.4 Ghz + 5Ghz)
Q: Will there be outdoor cases and PoE funcionality?
A: We are preparing outdoor router with PoE funcionality in the near future!
Q: Does the RUT360 support Volte, you mentioned it can be used in elevators.
A: It support VoLTE, but further features depends on your needs
Q: can we have option in this device to store a data when there is no network For example when we connected one RTU to this device and it was sending to MQTT server and unfortunituly we lost the network connection at that time whether we loss the data or it will sotre it untill the network is back
A: RUT360 does not have USB port, which would allow to expand memory and used by connected devices. In other case when there is no network connection and RUT360 uses internal Modbus TCP master, it will store records in RAM.
Q: Does the RUT360 support B17 frequency?
A: Please check bands in our website: RUT360 Click on ordering tab.
Q: I need the server connected in the lan port to communicate at the same time on both wan (where there is internet) and 4G where there is an M2M card (intenal ip which communicates with field equipment)
A: RUT360 has load balancing functionality, which allows to split traffic between different interface. Contact your sales representative or create HelpDesk query for more information
Q: Does RUT360 have sleep mode or standby? In case of using not fluent dataflow and have only battery supply
A: No, RUT360 does not have sleep mode
Q: can I then aggregate 2 wan links and the cellular?
A: RUT360 does not have WAN bonding functionality.
Q: Is supported SNMPv3?
A: Yes, RUT360 is using RUTOS and as other Teltonika Networks device it will support SNMPv3
Q: it can be that the 2 ports wan and mobile to work at the same time not in balanced mode
Q: Does the RUT360 support 450 MHz?
A: No, 450 MHz (B31) band is not supported
