ENABLING TOMORROW’S MOBILE NORM

From the moment we launched our first 5G devices in the autumn of 2022, we’ve been continuously working on their certification processes around the globe. So we’re very excited to announce that our RUTX50 cellular router has now joined its cousin, the TRB500 gateway, and is now certified by RCM, confirming that both of our 5G networking devices are safe for distribution in the Australian market.

What makes both the RUTX50 and TRB500 excel is their strategic development of backward compatibility with 4G LTE (Cat 20) and 3G network technologies. This feature is key when considering the reliability, flexibility, and robustness of network connectivity for a solution with zero tolerance for interruptions or loss of connectivity.

Aside from taking care of the past, RUX50 provides an array of other benefits: top-notch network speeds of up to 3.3 Gbps and ultra-low latency, which are irreplaceable for data-heavy applications, just like live-streaming children’s football practices for their parents.

NOT JUST ANOTHER CERTIFICATION

Much like all things in life, change is inevitable, and 3G mobile technology is soon to be shut down worldwide, including in Australia. This shift aims to provide a larger spectrum for its more advanced counterparts – 4G and 5G.

That’s why our excitement is not only from our 5G devices achieving this recognition but also the prospects we can now help our clients with in Australia. Especially when this continent is moving at increasingly high speeds towards 5G technology implementation around living areas, with some ISPs like Telstra planning to reach 95% 5G coverage by 2025.

FUTURE-PROOFING IS INEVITABLE

While it’s true that 4G isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, it’s crucial to future-proof projects and solutions, especially ones intended to withstand the demands of upcoming decades.

Why? Because you don’t really want to make the same mistake people did when they relied too much on 3G-only devices. When demand for greater speeds and increased data traffic became the new norm across all industries, all fleets of 3G networking devices had to be replaced with 4G-compatible ones, which resulted in immense costs and a huge loss of operational efficiency. Additionally, network capacity experiences around 60% of annual growth in traffic, leaving less connectivity space for devices.

To avoid the mistake made with 3G devices and connectivity limitations and get all the greatest perks of 4G and 5G technologies, equipping yourself with devices that are future-ready yet still compatible with the past is the way to go.
